We offer horses and ponies for sale mid April - November 1. 

The winter months are way too cold, windy, icy and snowy to give our customers a pleasant visit or a safe ride. Winter can be beautiful but unpredictable on our hill: It seems all we do is plow snow, feed round bales, thaw water hydrants, get fire wood  into the house. We so look forward to seeing you in green grass season. Vershire is quite pretty then!

       Whether you are looking for that first best friend or a show partner we can help. The horses we sell are ones we would have for our own family.      

April thru October we have a various horses and ponies for sale who are not going to camp.  

The all level headed and sensible. All are used to living outside. All tie on a picket line for grooming and tacking None are good at every thing but all have their own special talents. You could expect to find:

  • Western ones with quiet neck rein and ranch ones that want to work.
  • English horses and ponies. 
  • Pleasure horses.
  • Husband friendly trail horses.
  • Trail horses: many excelling in versatility trail obstacles .
  • Show prospects in the making
  • Specially selected ponies: if we have them available, they will be cuties well tested by the grand kids!
  • Young prospects ready for more advanced schooling,
  • Entry level horses for 4 H and pony club. 

You will not find barrel horses here: We do not have barrel horses. 
all our horses are ridden and handled by children and gram

August - September we have our annual camp horse sale. 

  • While we would like to keep them all, there are just too many. These are good soldiers that would do well with a single owner. 
  • Reasonably priced. Healthy and sound. All ages, colors and levels. 
  • Call us in July to tell us what you are looking for in your new partner. 
  • some of our summer camp horses can go out on low cost winter leases  to New England stables with option of a spring purchase.  
Suggestions for visiting to try out horses for your Safety and  comfort:
  • We have several large pastures and a small barn so please make an appointment to check out our horses so we can have appropriate ones at the barn. 
  • dress in layers in the fall, Vershire weather can be bipolar. 
  • wear proper riding clothes and hard sole boots. don't forget your riding helmet.
  • bring your instructor to help evaluate whats best for you ~ often the prettiest you like is not the best choice.
  • allow plenty of time to ride several ones and retry the one that is your favorite. 
  • bring a camera - cell phones do not work here.
  • we have a large ring, trail obstacle ring and short trail to allow customers various ways to test ride our horses. No indoor riding arena however.
  • we do not let horses go out on trial at this time.


  • all of our horses tie on a picket line to be groomed or tacked in english or western tack.  We will show them to you including riding before you give the ones you like a try.




Sadly there is no cell service at the farm: it is spotty all over our area.
